As a member of Itascatur, you’ll be a part of a group of people who enjoy outdoor activities and who enjoy spending time with friends and family. Members of Itascatur enjoy the camaraderie of a group of like-minded outdoor enthusiasts, and bringing that enjoyment to the community at large. Itascatur enjoys bringing awareness of the myriad number of non-motorized outdoor opportunities in our area. As a member, you’ll also have access to the ski equipment at Soaring Eagle for yourself and your family.
We don’t ask for monetary membership dues. To become a member of Itascatur, we ask only that you dedicate at least 5 hours per year to one of our organized activities, or as an advocate for outdoor activity in Hubbard County, such as Bike Friendly Minnesota and the Hubbard County Recreational Planning Commission.
How do I volunteer?
This can be in the form of helping at the Headwaters 100 bike ride, helping clear trails at Soaring Eagle in the fall, helping with one of the Open Houses that are held every Sunday in January and February at Soaring Eagle, or being on one of our committees. We also volunteer our time at the annual Bike Opener in May and occasionally participate in community events such as 2nd St. Stage, Health Expo, and Community Education endeavors. We entrust our members with keeping track of their own time volunteering.
How do I find out about volunteer opportunities?
Volunteers are requested through email and through our Facebook page. Watch for announcements regarding our volunteer activities and social events, and if you ever have a question about volunteering, email our current Itascatur president at: president@itascatur.org.
