Lunch: Pulled Pork BBQ / buns, Water, Hot Cocoa /Coffee/Tea provided by the Club. (Pot-luck offerings appreciated, but not required) You may want to bring your own dinnerware- though we will have a supply for those who need it. Bring a chair for fireside activities.
Location: Soaring Eagle Cross Country Ski Trails and warming house located at 25467, US Hwy 71, 8 miles north of Park Rapids, and across from the Eagle View Golf Course in Hubbard County, MN.
This event is free and open to the public, not just Club members, so please join us for this gathering which will be held regardless of snow /weather conditions. If nothing else, there will be a nice social get together with ski enthusiasts of all levels. We are well supplied with marshmallows for toasting at the fire ring.
Although as of (2.25.2025), it does not look promising for skiing on Saturday, Neil King and his grooming crew will do everything possible to make it happen. We may spend more time visiting, recognizing supporters, possibly touring the trails in the new Polaris UTV Ranger used for pulling the new Ginzugroomer, talking about skiing and enjoying the time outside. Dress warm, as many activities will be held outdoors.
Soaring Eagle Trails are part of the MN DNR Grant in Aid Trail system, so, if you plan to ski, be sure you have your Great Minnesota Ski Pass.
