Map My Ride is a great website that allows you to not only map a route for biking and running, but record the details of that route such as distance, elevation, difficulty and any personal notes you may have. Itascatur members have mapped some of their favorite Northern Minnesota bike rides, check them out by clicking the maps below.

BAM Route

The Park Rapids to Walker leg of the 2012 BAM ride. This popular route will take you through some beautiful farm country, scenic lakes and forest roads. Destination: Walker, where you can grab a beer or have a picnic lunch on the shores of Leech Lake.

Bad to the Bone Ride

This 35 mile route will take you through beautiful Itasca State Park, through rural Northern Minnesota. Low traffic and great food at the end!

Loop through Nevis

This ride starts in Nevis, MN (home of the world's largest tiger muskie). The route takes you through some beautiful countryside, past two of the area's best-loved lakes (Big Sand and Fishhook) into Park Rapids, and back to Nevis on the Heartland Trail. Stop off in Dorset for a light meal or enjoy the locally-owned restaurants and tavern back in Nevis.
